Close repair, cleanup, and ongoing close

Behind on reconciliations? Find out where to start.

If your CPA is waiting on corrected books or a property manager left you with incomplete records, tell us what’s behind. Answer 5 questions to see an immediate estimate if one month can be repaired on its own. You’ll see your result before sharing contact details.

Step 1

Start with a one-month sprint

We close and reconcile the most recent completed month for one entity with verifiable opening balances.

You get the reconciled month, reconciliation workpapers, a written fix plan, and a separate fixed quote for additional work. Your team approves and posts proposed adjustments.

We confirm the scope, fixed fee, and delivery date in writing after reviewing your records and opening balances. The Sprint fee is credited toward month one of monthly work. If the sprint shows more work is needed, we can quote broader repair or historical cleanup separately.

Fictional sample

What a sprint finding looks like

The bank statement showed a single deposit. The ledger showed two entries for that deposit. The workpaper ties the bank activity to both ledger entries, identifies the duplicate, and lists the proposed correction for your team to review and post.

Step 2

Scope historical cleanup

If we can verify opening balances, the sprint can show what needs attention in earlier months. If those balances depend on unresolved prior periods, start here. We’ll review the records and tell you what needs to be scoped. After a Sprint or Diagnostic, we’ll quote any cleanup in writing.

Tell us roughly how many entities, accounts, and months are affected, and who needs the corrected books by what date. We’ll reply with the records we need to review.

Step 3

Manage the close

After a Sprint or Diagnostic, and once your books are current, PAP can manage the monthly close calendar for the entities we agree to cover. We review the reports your team sends, track open items with an owner and due date, and deliver the close package and any investor reporting we agree to include.

Your property manager and bookkeeper handle reconciliations and post entries in the books they maintain. PAP’s monthly fee covers the entities, review cycle, and reports named in your written scope. Any repair work gets a separate quote.
